Ihor Ostapovych Parasyuk

Doctor of physics and mathematics (1995), professor (2001).
2003-2007 - Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics.
He is the author of more than 70 scientific papers and the co-author of the textbook "Differential Equations" for universities students.
His main scientific achievements are concerned with the theory of quasiperiodic motions of Hamiltonian systems on coisotropic invariant tori, nonlocal existence theorems for quasiperiodic solutions of essentially nonlinear Lagrangian systems and for solutions of nonlinear singular boundary value problems on the half-line for ordinary differential equations.

Biography

Parasyuk Igor Ostapovych was born on 18 January 1953 in Lviv. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv in 1955. He gained the Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and the Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in 1995. He works at the Department of differential and integral equation from 1978 up to now. He served as Associate Professor at the Faculty (1986-1991, 1994-1996). He is a Full Professor since 1996 and Dean of the Faculty from 2003 up to now.
